Program Volunteer

About the Role

As a Program Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects, engaging with beneficiaries, and contributing to the realization of our mission. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about community development, youth empowerment, education, climate change and sustainable livelihoods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of program activities, workshops, and events
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, stakeholders, and beneficiaries
  • Support the collection of qualitative and quantitative data through interviews, questionnaires, and field observations
  • Contribute to public awareness campaigns on issues such as gender-based violence, education rights, health, and environmental sustainability
  • Assist in facilitating training sessions for beneficiaries, youth groups, and community leaders
  • Support logistics for program activities, including setting up venues and distributing materials
  • Participate in ongoing monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Work closely with other volunteers, staff members, and partners
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table for improving program outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or Diploma in related field with passion for community development and social change
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and field conditions
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office, social media, email, internet)
  • Previous volunteer work experience in NGOs or community-based organizations is an asset
  • Proficiency in English and local languages
